I'm not sure where to put this?
I had a chance to look at the new ATK 450 this weekend up at a club ride. (CCC)
My friend & Dealer (Euro motors) Brought up a brand new 450 and letting people do test rides. I sat on the bike and it felt a lot like the old Cannondales “duhâ€Â

Ah,the lure of things rare and exotic.
Thats how you got the berg remember?
I saw a 2002 cannondale 440e for sale on
the thumper site for $1999.00.He kept
constantly lowering it fom $3999.00.I
wouldn't even sell my berg that cheap.
Be carefull.

Cannondale/ATK

Hi, 70....
DIRTBIKE magazine, July 2004, has an article on your machine. ATK bought most of Cannondale - bikes, quads, and parts. An Asian corporation, DENLI, bought the tooling and o/seas mfg. rights for the quads. ATK states they are taking steps to improve the Cannondale, as well as meet the demand for parts, upgrades and provide support for Cannondale owners with problems. For what it's worth, if my memory serves me, the ATK operation is headed by Frank Knight, who at one time in the recent past was supposedly going to be the Husaberg-USA distributor.
Best bet would be to read the article, p.64.

Close, that would be Frank White that owns ATK. He does indeed have a LOT of Cannonfail parts and is trying to make some good bikes out of them, but in the end if you buy an 05 ATK what you're really getting is about an 02-03 Cannonfail. They've tried to fix a few of the common problems and make them reliable bikes, but I'm not sure if they're really fixing anything or just putting band-aids on.
Frank has spent many a mile on Husabergs and did try to become the distributor at one time but things didn't work out. He tried with VOR also.

I will most likely get a chance to take that new ATK 450 for a ride at the next club ride. T-jet I don't know why you’re so down on that fine 470. Mine has given me nothing but pure bliss. Also I've told a few of my jealous friends That you'd sell your beast cheap or trade for equal value. Would you trade for a older KTM 250 EXC? I'm not sure what year it is some where between 95 & 97 my nephew wants to get back to four strokes and he won't leave my 470 alone.

The only problem I have had with my
Berg is selling it.A 97 or newer 250exc
and cash may work on my berg,In 97
ktm got rid of the SEM ignition.I just
like 2strokes better.There is a 2002
ATK 440e for sale for 2200.00 right
now on the KTMtalk site.
