04 FE 501 supermoto

I have just bought a set of supermoto wheels for my enduro bike is it ok to run 16/40 gearing and should i stiffen up the suspension on the clickers i will only be running on the streets harrassing the local population. :evil:
Help would be appreciated.

From experience if your bike is to be used mostly off road and you have your suspension set up just right don't mess with it. I used to have an XR 600 with supermoto trim I did mess with the set up and it took me ages to get it right again for off road use. To be honest a well setup bike will handle fine on the road.

Count how many clicks the damping and rebound-adjusters are from the bottom and write it down.I have at least 10 clicks harder compressiondamping than the standardsetting when i use supermotowheels on my -04 FE550.Its a lot easier to brake on asphalt if the fork dont dive to much and to wheelie if the rearend dont collapse on acceleration. :evil:
