Hello I am very curious as to what some of you people out there think of the Tm Motorcycle, or if you can direct me to any reviews, I know a bit about them but I would like to see if there are other enthousiasts out there....If anyone would like to email me direct that is fine, this is TM's 30th year in Business, I however cannot find much info on the bikes, I understand also that the Hubs are all Billett aluminium and just about every part is made at the Factory......so please advise...Thankyou Terry

TM125E

I rode a new TM 125 Enduro in the Black Dog dual sport in Oregon about 4 years ago. They are amazing bikes. Incredible handcrafting, very durable and faster than stink. I wouldn't recommend riding one in a 140 mile dual-sport ride though.

They are a beautiful piece of exotic machinery. I'd like to ride one of the 4-stroke enduro models.

Although I am on my 3rd Husaberg and love the way they work (Hbg is the best 4T made (I have ridden most brands, but in all fairness I have not ridden a TM 4T)), I am a die hard TM fan. The blood flowing thru my veins is TM blue. Send me questions (PM or on the forum), I will try to answer. If you give me a heads up, I could catch up with you on hte UHE chat as well. TMs are fast, they handle, and are built to take abuse.
 
TMs are built really well & for the long haul.You will need some trial & error to get it setup suspension wise and do yourself a favor & be sure to go with the Ohlins option if you are gonna get one.
I did have a first year 250f enduro & I had no issues but the engine was a dog in all honesty.The 2 stroke engines are frigging fast & basically bullet proof.If you're looking for a thumper I don't think you'll find a better overall package then a Berg though.

As the owner of both a 06 450 BERG and a 05 TM 300e I can honestly tell you that they are both great bikes. The TM's are works of art.Billet hubs, rear brake lever and other goodies. Mine has the Ohlins front and rear. The triple clamps are absolutely gorgeous. The motor on the thing is a really solid. Mine has a pro circuit pipe on it and the power is really track-able. Definitely luggable a gear higher with a little clutch work. The thing turns like my old school Maicos. Rock solid reliability so far. These bikes are really sensitive to proper jetting. A little off and they run poorly, alot off and they are unridable. IMHO there is nothing out there that has the clean lines and style of the TM's. I have not ridden one of the 4ts. For me the Bergs are the 4ts answer. My plated 510 Husky is pretty cool too.

TM-Enduro, I am like you kinda in an opposite way, I have a huge passion for the husaberg, and that is what is in my veins for years, Ive always known about TM and GAS GAS, VOR, ATK , KTM but I still remember going to Husabergs web site and seing the Viking on there and downloading all of thier models to make screen savers and desktop configurations with, and that is when the passion started for Husaberg and thinking outside of the Box. The new 07 Models of TM are Georgous, as a matter of fact when i showed my mom some pics of the TM's she suggested i dont ride suh a beautiful bike cause it will get dirty....well you know thats a mom for you.

Whosahberg I dont know anything about the AL Model, I do however have several more pics of these bikes if you would like, just send me an email

Vntgmx I really appreciate your input on the TM, I believe that the 07's all come with the Ohlins Front and Rear Suspension..you said a first yearof 250F was a Dog ...mmmmm what year was that, if you dont mind me asking......and maybe the new 07 models are much better, I would definately like to think so.

Ok I guess here is why i really asked this question. I really wanted to see if anyone had any reviews on the Tm, being in business for 30 years you would think there would be more information out there on the Internet, I would like to read more about the bike, I know that this is thier 30th year in business which has to say something......And although i am a Husaberg Fan....I have been offered an oppertunity with TM. now im not going to try to sell anyone a TM and im not here to advertise believe me....I tried to get in with Husaberg, ever since Brett Left and since i sent in my resume and have recieved nothing, Perhaps im not qualified....I dont know, I do know that Tm has one Dealer in NY and one in Cali and the MotoXErotica in Georgia, I would like to see a TM Dealer in every state as well as a Husaberg Dealer in every state, I think that it may even be a possibility to be a Rep for both bike lines Husaberg and TM, well see , I believe that I can help TM become a recognizable force in the industry, I mean go to a Honda Delaer they sell Everything Yamaha and Suzuki, Polaris, Im not sure if it is a good idea or not to try to sell both lines, comments wanted an that ......I really wish Husaberg / Dixie Sales would call and put something tangeable out there to hold on to, but at this time ive not heard from them. The more I read and talk to people and learn about the TM the more i like it......and to be a part of something so virgin at least here in the states could be a fantastic oppertunity for future growth.... and I know ive said a lot here today, your inputs suggestions and comments i sincerely appreciate each and every one of them, again if anyone would like to email me directly please feel free [email protected]

One Last thing, I would like to see HUSABERG TM GAS GAS ATK Husky in a Dirt Bike Magazine all at the same time, just those 5 Lines no Jap Bikes and id like to see the magazine be very thourough with thier findings not some BS 24 hour Shootout. on the 125's 250F's 450Fs and the 530/550F's Enduro and Motocross, throughout the entire Magazine so it needs to be twice as thick as it is now, then when i go down and pay 4.99 or 5.99 I feel I have gotten my moneys worth.
 
Not sure on the year as it was many bikes ago but I'm guessing it was a 2004 or there abouts on the TM 250f I owned.
On the TM website it shows Ohlins as an option unless of course the US distributor is only importing bikes with Ohlins.You best check this out with the US distributor though.
It's just my opinion that if you're gonna go with a TM the safe route is one of their many 2 stroke models.
Based on economics I can tell you that you'll be paying a very steep dollar for a TM & that's one of the reasons that their US presence has all but vanished with new bike sales here in the US the last couple of years.
They are solid bikes that just need a little more setup & personalizing then most of the other offerings out there but they come equipped with some of the finest components out there.

I would Definately go with Ohlins, thankyou for that tip, and the 2 and the 4 I know to put in a Top end on a 2 Stroke is about $100.00 and a couple hours of time, you know if I have it my way I want to Sell the Tm line as well as ride it, and I want to Make a Living but I feel if we can price the bikes comparatively then it is a win win situation, to get them out there and allow people to ride them is the start. Im not sure of the Price of the Bikes as of right now Im trying to find out but I believe the 450 F is about $8300 or something like that it is not much different than a Husaberg, and hell all of the bikes are going up in Price, even a KX 450 is $6,999 I mean that and then add the aftermarket Parts that the Husaberg and the TM already have and then add the Labor and you have the price of a Husaberg and TM, Im thinking out loud here.
 
tm 2st have always been good competition bikes. the 4st though have had a difficult birth with various problems. the recent 450 seems to have solved theses and is apparently, cos i haven't had a ride, a very good bike.

Trying to start a TM dealership is a tough undertaking IMO based on the last couple of years of confusion & distributorship uncertainty.TM currently is at the least where Berg was a few short years ago till Barrett became the distributor & at least lent some stability to the dealer network & loyal owners to which it has progressed today.
I'd advise you really take a good long look at it before you take the plunge & make certain that you're looking at it from a good business plan rather then from an emotion of the heart.
Again whichever you choose good luck & they are certainly solid bikes in spite of their rarity here in the US at the present.
 
The Marzocchi 50mm TC fork is a great choice for the TM and it comes with no extra charge, unlike the Ohlins.

Thankyou for the input , Just so you know I would not be starting a Tm Delaership I would be a Regional or National Rep for Tm, My Job would be to Dispaly the Tm Line, and to take the Bikes around to the different dealerships and sell them on the Idea of Carrying the TM Line, it would be to exclusive Dealerships. Making sure the dealerships are very comfortable, I only want to find the ones that have the Passion such as Myself, for the Husaberg TM GAS GAS lines of Bikes, I would also be Riding a TM and getting people interested in the Bikes, by Planting Seeds and allowing People to Ride the Bike wherever i may be riding, I know that it will take time, possibly even years, but that is something I have considered. it is Part for the Business and the other for the Heart, I feel if there is no Passion in what you do why do it at all, its better to make it fun and exciting than to be boring and mundane

I really feel that David over at Moto X Erotica really has what it takes personally and finacially to take the TM to the next level, He is a Huge TM Fanatic I know he just got in 5 Brand New 07 Bikes for the Bike show in Indianapolis, and 35 More Bikes in the next couple of weeks will be here, and the amount of inventory, that he is carrying, is very comforting to know. thankyou again for any input or information.

I would also like to take a minuite or 2 and let you all know how much I appreciate all of your input suggestions comments I am overwhelmed....Please if this position works out for me I want you all to know im not Trying to Convert anyone or sell anyone anything that they are not interested in, and eventually I will Start or find a TM Forum, so please keep that in Mind, but for now everyone here has been very helpful and kind, so for that again I thankyou, and someday i hope to meet some of you on one of these Moab Runs, sounds exciting.

For a brief period of time I had the privilege of being involved in a dealership here in Washington that carried TM, VOR and Gas-Gas motorcycles. At every point the TM importers were good to deal with. They stood behind the product and listened when we had a problem.

Here are a few thoughts as you consider being a Regional Manager- As with any motorsport product, but especially with exotic motorsports, it's not just enough to have an incredible product. The key is an enthusiastic dealership and a loyal customer base. Here is the rub- loyal customer bases don't just appear out of thin air. When a customer gets the product he wants and is provided with unequaled customer service, he won't consider another place to go.

I'll tell a brief story about my friend Rick Bozarth (BOSS at this site). In 1996 it was almost quitting time when I wandered into a small KTM shop in Gresham, Oregon wondering if I should buy a new bike. I was ready to give up riding because even though I loved the sport I didn't have a lot of buddies to ride with or know the area well enough to know where to go. Rick, the shop owner and another guy stayed late to talk with me about my riding abilities and which bike was best suited for me, they gave me maps and then they invited me riding. That night I bought a new KTM 250 E/XC from them. That was the first of seven more bikes I bought from them. Every time I went in they had time to talk, and every time we went riding they gave me pointers. Customer service and passion for the product made me spend my money there. Now, all other bike shops are compared to that experience.

This will not only be the recipe for the success of TM, but will be the recipe for the success of Husaberg as well. Build an unexcelled product, find dealers that are passionate and promote your product, and make your customers not want to go anywhere else.

Moto Grandpa, I could not agree with you anymore, that story that you told is exactly the way I feel 100% ....that is an inspiring Story, I do not know Rick, Ive been to his web site many times and Im sure he is a great guy........as a matter of fact a while ago just when Brett Left I told a Story of DH Cycles in Modesto California, where Dave and his Family owned, I used to sit in there and probaly waste Daves time talking about the Can Am, that thing was huge when i first saw that monster it was the coolest thing I ever Saw, Dave told me I could sit on it anytime I wanted too. anyway when I finally had enough money to buy a bike Dave Suggested a 125, well I did not want a Suzuki I wanted a Honda CR 125, long story short I and My Mom got treated like **** from the 3 other Dealers , when I went back to Dave he told me go pick out a bike the one that you really have that feeling for, there were at least 5-6 of them in a Row, and give me the Vin# of it and I will write it up for you, since that very Day I will never forget what it means of Superior Customer Service, so now when i go to a Dealership, I always remember that Day, I am 38 now and I was barely 16 at that time, If this oppertunity is Tangeable, I will do everything in my Passion to help TM succeed, .....have a wonderful day and anytime you want to Email or chat please let me know.....Thankyou again Terry

Thankyou Boss, you know what since I put out this Post, I am so pleased with the people that are here, it is such a Down to Earth Forum, I sincerely feel great talking to all of you, Ive even gotten some emails to me personally and the response has been tremendous ....the Human ness of this Forum, all i can say is Im speechless and I thankyou, Rick, Definately keep an eye on me, and if there is anything i need improvement with, let me know, i know a bit about you, been to your web site, so your experiance is invaluable
