Will soon be disassembling my engine for maintenance. Are the oem valves 3 angle cut ?
If not I have a Neway seat cutter from my small engine repair days which I could clean up the seats with.

Yes and if you have the correct pilot and cutter sizes the Neway system will work great as the seats are quite hard.
