Pirellis and Dunlops so far, not sure about others... To be honest I haven't been too concerned about others as I'm a pirelli or dunlop guy....I've been on other brands and have liked them as well....

We have done some testing for comparising only due to that we sell Goldspeed tires.
Front tires are built up in many different ways depending what they are for, superbike or RR125, then for Supermoto we don't require stability in 300km/h, we don't go that fast. Not all producers have tires built specially for Supermoto.
For the averege rider it do not depend so much on the tire brand, but to a professional rider its important.
Also a professional rider rides for the best offer.

If you try any 16,5" front and a rear rim in 5.00x17 with a 165/56 you will not reach the limit of the tire.
We have been riding with Carbon wheels for some years now and that makes a big diffrence. 1-2 sec a lap faster with std engine and suspention.

I completely respect your testing, expertise and opinion :) we mostly race on tight modified Go Cart tracks, we wear through peg sliders rather quickly... the common opinion in our race club is the 16.5 allows for more tire contact as does the 5" rear.....the fast guys down south (California) are actually going even wider for the rear....a couple of our guys are running 5.5" and claim to really like them......for me the set up I have now is working very very well....not to get off topic but I use Maxxiss rain tires on the clay tracks and like them alot...they are very soft and the front tire sticks very very well..... I run 17 psi at the front and 19 psi at the back, with the suspension softened up alot....I hope more tire companies build SM tires....Thank you for your post ! I have been on your site before and started drooling so much I had to log off :D ... I really like the European tracks and wish we had some similar here.....As for Carbon Wheels, I'd love a set....

Nice homepage, and i liked your track photos.
In Sweden we dont have much of permanent tracks, we build them up for each event, we also race alot on gokart tracks and air fields.
Regarding 5.5 rear, we also use them, they are just a little difficult to get in to the swing arm, but the tire fits perfect.
For a averege rider the dont benefit so much from that little extra grip they get.
Its more importent to get the suspenssion setup correct, that will take away the chatter in the front. Bouncing in the rear is easier to controll, and we ride more with sliding into the curve. I saw a event from USA and it was interesting, more like supercross-supermoto. We dont have that in Europe. High speed and sliding. Its stresses the tire in a diffrent way.

Very nice Thomas.....!!! I figured you guys have different tire requirements than us.....On faster tracks we will hit speeds of 120-130 Kmh's before we set up for turn one.....turn one is typically second gear and very tight.... I'll post vid's when I get some good ones.....
