Hi,
I'm Marvin, 21 years old and decided that i just wanted a little extra pain in my life. After doing a full rebuild of my 1990 DR650 last year i felt like spare parts availability and maintenance were just a bit too easy for my liking. Always wanted a Berg and well... I ended up with a 2004 FE450. She was used as a typical forest fun bike but the motor runs beautifully quiet and she only has 172 hours. Electronics... well, they're a hackjob. I'll rip out everything that isn't stock ignition system wiring and then just re-do the lighting system. (Btw, is there any official pinout for the digital tach / tripmaster unit? Mine has some wires that are completely unconnected yet power, switch unit and wheel sensor wires are connected). In the winter i plan on re-finishing the plastics but for now my main goal is to get her road legal so i can still have some fun this year
Oh, and of course i managed to drop her on the left side 10 minutes after unloading at my place, a new clutch cover is already on the way... What is the best technique to fix the old one? Just grinding the breaks open and filling everything with JB-weld and sealant?
