I have bought the last of the spares from the old Finnish importer. So if you are looking for rare stuff then look on the web shop. Just get the correct part number and put it in. then you can try the words that the English speakers would use (cam chain timing chain) also split any words you're not sure of. kickstart is kick start. sidecover is side cover.

from Finland
rare gears from early 90s
con rods - 600s, early 650s, 350-400.
rare pistons that are OEM
rare 37mm valves
27mm valves
inlet stubs I haven't seen for 5 years
for the 1996-2000 electric starts I have a crank side gear, a starter sprague outer gear and the balancer (for the 350 but it will do them all if you check against the old one).
I've got some gear selector plates
rocker shafts with oil feed holes (no longer available)
400 (2001-2003) headers L & R
new FE (1999-2003) flywheels
new SEM stators
new stator covers

instead of asking me here, just put the part numbers in and see what you get or email me at [email protected]

one thing we are looking for is someone to make plastics for us in europe and another is someone prepared to mmake OEM decals as closely as possible to the originals. there's business there but I'll b damned if I can find the right people!

I have a USA contact for plastics but costs could run away.

cheers

Under my original fender there is an inscription "made in Italy" ... Have you already searched among Italian manufacturers?

Hello Alfy

Acerbis made the original. UFO make replicas.

Acerbis don't reply in the UK and the Italians insist I go via the UK.

UFO.....no reply.

cheers

Taffy

Acerbis Italy say I must go through Acerbis UK with any request.

but Acerbis UK could not be contacted. this was three weeks ago. Covid-19 may have had something to do with it.

I just went and found three different types of decal sets for the 1998s!!!

I found FEe 'Elduro' decals
I found FE***S decals
FE Enduro II decals

I also have always had the
FE decals
FX decals
FC decals

I have no Idea what a FE600S was? anyone?

I also grabbed a load of new Ignition modules for the 1999 to 2003s. they are for 400, 470, 501 and 550 models.

I have 4 brand new flywheels
2 new stators
3 flywheel/ignition covers too!

sorry but we are having a big sort out so!

Taffy

Yes I've got one and I've a few more coming. perhaps wait till i have them in my hand?

In 1998 there was a U.S. only model, FS 600 E, It was labeled as a Dual Sport. In the U.S none of the bikes ever came with factory blinkers until this model. It was interesting that it also came with a U.S. built Edelbrock Qwik Silver carb. This carb has a accelerator pump whereas the standard Dellorto does not. The carb is purported to provide instant low throttle response (By 1998 standards) to help make the bike more streetable I suppose.

This was the only year ( 1998 ) that a U.S. street legal version was available until the 2011 FE 570 S.

The FS 600 E appears to simply be a European Enduro model with a different carb and graphics.

I have to say that that is a ridiculously pretty bike! the seat and decals look brilliant!

like the whole bike was designed in one.

Taffy, looking for a ignition coil/module for my FE650 -02. I've measured the resistance in the SEM stator and it's showing the correct values. However my ignition is very poor, almost no spark at all. Do you only repair these or do you have one on the shelf?
...or do you still suspect the stator needed to be replaced?
Cheers

It always helps to swop with a good running bike because these things tend to sort themselves out and there's nothing wrong. failing that your problem is to get the bike started the first time right?

I have been there so many times my friend. BUT, I accumalated knowledge with every bike and I look for a wet plug. make sure the SLIDE HEIGHT IS 6.0mm+

keep using fresh plugs till it starts and then with it running put them all back in one at a time and burn them off clean again! put them away afterwards for the "next time" because there's always a next time.

check the ignition timing against my videls on my Taffmeisters FB page.

put an MX boot on - nothing else is like one. kick on a platform like a crate or wooden box. something that allows you to kick 125%.

I have 650 coil but it probably won't be the coil. sometimes the screw snaps off that is under the HT lead. try to unscrew the lead and have a look at this screw. does it wobble? if not, it is fine.

also, kick it with no plug cap on. it should jump 8-10mm to the headbolt.

cheers

anyone know which year this seat fits?

it looks like a 1995-1997 era seat but it is never quite right?

it also looks right for 1998 if you take off the technosel seat with its three-band colours and fit this?

I'm a bit lost on it really?
1995 has too much lilac.
1998is low case lettering after the 'H'.

so my favourites are 1996 and 1997.

cheers

Definitely not a production 97-99 seat (at least in the U.S.).

Looks very very similar to a 96.

You have in inventory a complete 96 seat assembly. Could you post some pics with a close up of the graphics comparing this seat to a 96?

I had always thought that the seat slimmed down a bit from 96-97. Is that true?

If the seat you have is slimmer than a 96 then I would venture a guess that it is a preproduction 97 that was scrapped in favor of plain black on the production models.

Hi Eric
I have only 'slim seats' but probably only 1989-1996 seat foams.
1989-1996 = 16006401
1997-1999 = 16013401

so my money is on it being a seat that didn't happen but was in the pipeline. they would look right on a 96-98 but we'll never really know which?

Taffy

Just to let you all know of some spares that have stopped and others that are ccovered etc OK?

In all that stock I got from Sweden, last Month under a load of crap I found
4 x 2000 seats
1 x 1999 seat
a load of wiring looms for various years. I can see 1997-2001 in there. not sorted yet though. seat yet to be put back up.

POST IS EXPENSIVE RIGHT NOW.

NO VAT ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD NOW EXCEPT WITHIN THE UK. So the EU are getting 20% off!!!

radiator hoses I ordered for the 2001-2008s were sent wrong. The MD is promising a fresh order to be made.

N-style graphics for the 2000-2008s have been made and are on their way to me. due within 14 days. Because we have the seat covers already it means that matching pairs can be bought.

all our decal sets for the 1996-1999s
we have no full sets of 1996 FE left but we have found a company that will make the few decals needed to make up complete seys so another 22 sets could be ready around easter.

1995
the 1995s only vary from the 1996s (which we have) by lilac being 'IN' where the purple is in 1996. If all goes well, we will see if complete sets of 1995 decals can be made off of a scan of the 1996s and a change in one colour. IT'S IMPORTANT THAT IF YOU HAVE A 1995, YOU REGISTER AN INTEREST TO ME AS THIS ONE HAS NO PROFIT NO GAIN - JUST PAIN to it.

1991-1993 Isostad decals
They are here. They are a replica of the factory works bike decals
however, we have a problem with the yellow seat covers. They came with "Honda" on them!!!!! correct ones to be made.

2004-2005 Blue seat covers
we had 20 made.

Stopped Parts
the 501/550 rod which was stopped, we sell a 'stepped pin' replacement rod kit. But not only that we have the use of 'Custom Rods made in Sweden as well.

450 liners especially the 2004.
these continue to crack and break. it also affects the 550 a little and I can't stop it. if you have a 2004 450 you have about a 50/50 chance of cracking the liner at the next rebuild.

Jetting Kits for the 2004-2008
We changed the shape of the needle a little and there is a 4/5th gear roll on improvement.

WE still can't find the ideal partner with whom to make decal sets. anybody know someone not too big and not too small for this?

2006-2008
Major problems now with balancer assemblies on the 2006-2008s. The bearings are getting very old. the only thing we can suggest is that you buy a 2001-2003 or better still a 2004-2005 assembly and change the bearings within.

Stopped
inlet rubber for the 450/550.
both types of rubber boot have now stopped.
cam chain tensioner blade for the 650.
clutch basket
kick start shaft ( we want to have these made)
Only black side stands are available

390-570
decal covered shrouds stopped
tailights

The factory have stopped parts but likely due to Covid-19, instead of letting us know the parts that could fit instead; they say nothing.

Is it just Husaberg? NO! there are way more LC4s out there and some modern KTMs and they don't care what they stop making.

If I think of anymore stuff I'll let you know.

Just to bring you up to date with what is happening in Husaberg-Land at the moment.

1. Retiring because I can.
Intend to try and sell Taffmeisters and retire. You have plenty of time yet as I'm getting my books ready and doing stock checks, etc but it is FOR SALE if anyone wants to consider it for a business.

2. Cheap tall seat foams 2000-2008
If like me you stand everywhere you go with the original seat foams; you'll love the Blackbird Racing tall seat foams which are 15mm taller but because they are softer make a plus seat. they were 41.66gbp and are now just 25gbp at 100716.

3. N-style Graphics replicated and in stock.
We've received the decals for the 2000-2005 models with the 4-hole shroud panels. They match the seat covers that we have held all along. 101611 and 101612 on the webshop.

4. 1999 Seats
these have now run out of stock and are finished.

5. 1996 FE/FEe Decal Sets
Having sold my last complete set I found a Company named DangerUK that could replicate the parts that I was out of, these were the shroud decals and the front middle mudguard decal. These have been made and are now back up for sale. 199037 & 199038.

6. 1996 Fork Guard and Front Musguard middle decal.
I now sell these three decals. you get two of one colour and 1 of the other colour. 199075.

7. 1999 Decals, All are coming!
let's tell you what we had till now. FR; We have the 18L Rallye tank decals, We have the FX American Cross-Country shroud decals we have all the CC decals for the side number boards.

We have one-off left & right (yes they are handed) fork guard, a r/h FC, a r/h FE and a r/h FS decal.

What is being made is a copy of the basic FX left shroud decal and then the letters C, E and S are being designed in.

Then we will produce these 6-piece sets complete. So 1999 owners should be of good cheer!

8. 1997-1999 FE501 and FE600 headers
We have heavily reduced the price of these. they are now only about 67gbp each. They will fit an FC but I'd need you to measure the ID of your FC headers and I'll do mine to see if there's an ID drop from an FC.

FEe have different part numbers. does anyone know how obstructive it would be to try and fit FE to an FEe?
FE501 headers are at 199159-199160
FE600 headers are at 199152-199153

9. Joel Smets Replica Decals
We have sets of Joel Smets Replica decals. We showed them to a customer who recalls the factory making them in 1999 but didn't sell them because Smets went to KTM. These are at 199115. Because we have all the seat and swing arm decals for the right years (1996-1999) we could put together the right CC decals for the right year. 199115.

10. CFBs are back!
I have had no Cam Follower Bearings (CFB) all Winter but I have found a source that had them made. I'm purchasing 30 this week so look out for them soon. when you see the advert; I ahve them in hand. 100107

I'm looking to get copies of three fork decals made (see photos) and also I'd like to either borrow or buy a 1996-1999 tailpiece if anyone has one I could have for 6-months?

regards

Taffy

Hey Taffy , about the plastics for 2005-2008 bergs maybe you should try reacetech in Italy? They are not acerbis size but they already make aftermarket plastic kits for other bikes, chain guides , etc.

Also what is going on with the molds? Could someone take over them?
I don't have much manufacturing knowledge but I am just asking as a bloke who got ripped off for used black rear fender and shrouds.
Just cant believe that there is such a business case and will go by especially for the after market companies.
