About a Month ago, with the help of an engineer I found out what was making the liners crack on husabergs circa 2004-2008.
it is a sharp lip inside the top of the cases. (see the photo below). The Motor Cyle most susceptible to this appears to be the 2004 FE/FC/FS450e.
I don't think engines with this sharp edge rubbed down will have a problem.
why didn't they crack brand new? I don't know.
doesn't affect the 2001-2003? not as I'm aware.
I do know that the newer liners aren't made as well as the early Swedish ones.
I wasn't sure how to handle the information as it has cost me a lot of money to check but I sat on it for a week and already a Hungarian customer has a broken liner and a lot of expense so i can't stand that and thought I'd just tell you all.
