A couple months ago I picked up a fe600e in supermoto trim, I digging into it now and found a lot of parts missing, starter and gears, bal shaft. Is this going to cause a lot of vibration without the shaft? Is there a reason they would remove it ? Also looking for a service manual, I found a owners manual and a parts book.

It probably will not cause any more vibration than a kick start only model as they were not counterbalanced.

The starter assembly may have been removed to reduce weight or the Starter Sprague Clutch (Freewheel Clutchmechanism) wore out. The cases need to be split in order to replace the Sprague so this is a bit of deterrent for a DIYer.

The cases also need to be split to replace / remove the counterbalance (the Sprague fits into the counterbalancer).

Perhaps the balancer is still in there.

There will be a difference because the kick only motor has full circle crank halves and the electric start have half crank counterweights, I was just wondering if anyone ever rode one with the balancer removed and yes it is gone along with everything else connected with the starter. I don't have a problem splitting the cases just looking for the parts and not wanting to brake the bank in putting it back together.

I have found a lot of parts on eBay but I can buy a motor for what this guy wants for some parts plus I still need a 600 balance shaft.

I personally would split the cases and reinstall, my e-start 600 is so smooth I can barely even feel it running

it comes and it goes. the difference is the cvost of post. American npost is crippling except for USPOS.

these things get removed because the bikes fail at the time to start on the button and when rebuilding someone thinks it is very clever to remove the parts.

if putting it back together you'll need to update and make better everything you can to give it your best shot.

we do an extra strong garter spring for the starter sprague bearing. carb will want to be bang on (i do an easystart kit), ignition timing a(i do a video on FB) and tappets. tappets are the ones people can't get right.

we do a kickstart sledge mod as well for better kicking. iridium plug is IMHO - a must!

when they are right, they start on the button fine. good luck! (photo would be nice?)

There was a balance shaft for that bike on US Ebay last week still. It had been there for quite a while.

I seen the balance shaft but it is for a 501 and if i can't get one for a 600 it might be closer than no balance shaft at all ?

How do you post a picture ?

Go to Facebook, search for "husaberg" and subscribe to all the groups / pages you find ... And then post a request on each group / page. On Facebook I see advertisements for spare parts that are not posted on ebay for many reasons

I think I figured out how to post a picture

I'm on a mopar forum and it's a lot different than this one.
