Hi PEI,
I am told, by some very wise people, that patience is a virtue:(
Though i hope for you that you can get one soon:D
Overhere in Holland 2 strokes are also in demand if there is a 300 KTM or GasGas for sale they are not for long.
There's actually a guy who changed his Husaberg plastic for Husqvarna plastic to sale his 300:eek:

Hi Oldman,
Sorry for the late response i was in hospital for surgery on my neck.
well i know what you mean about wasting time and especially money:cry:
Have you ever tried a 300 2 stroke? If not, it's really worthwile you might even be surprised!
Overhere in Holland a GasGas EC 300 is known for it's tractability AKA 3 stroke:D

P.S.i wish you wishdom on purchasing a bike:)

I've never ridden any 2T bike!;)

Hi Oldman,
If you ever get a change to ride a 2 stroke let us what you think of it:)
I've owned and rode since 1979 different bikes,2 strokes and 4 strokes and in different enginesizes, and i can tell you each bike has it's own charme:D
The bikes that really impressed are the following:Maico GS 490 Alpha 1 1984 , Husaberg FE 501 1990 ( the bike i tested then,is the same one i am restoring now ) and last but not least the GasGas EC 300 2009.
This bike's engine was stock except the HGS exhaust system, because it's very silent.
As for the chassis, the rear shock i replaced it with a Reiger unit and the forks were adjusted by the Reiger guys to match weight and rider capability, man this was a bike as we call it overhere read and wright with, i loved that bike so much.:D

p.s. 2 stroke are a blast to ride

Well Tourist, i switch over to Dutch immediately, so here it goes: ik kan er mee lezen en schrijven
And that's the way things go:D

based on what I've read, I suggest a 250 XC W. You'll have plenty of power, excellent throttle control/response & lower - wider gearing for single / tight riding / steep climbs to open desert, plush suspension, light weight bike. And, widely available! Cheers!

Hi Jorge,
The thing i know is, that the xc w are the same as an enduro version without lighting, but not available in every country.
But lets be honest every suggestion could help.

Congatz on the new bike PEI.

The TE250 is a bike that I've looked at as well and I think that is the direction I'm going to go in. Would prefer to have a light 2t for the trails that still makes some good power.

I'm probably just gonna pick up a used KTM soon though. I don't really need a new bike or to spend that kind of $$$ right now.

Thanks it was looking i would have to go the KTM route because of the short supply of the TE250 but i lucked out the 250 2t kTM is very similar but i would of had to buy new riding gear ;)
this one has the 25th anniversary graphics will post pics as soon as its home with its older brothers
