I have about 4 hours on the new bike as of today and today the bike decides to start bogging and back firing on me while accelerating. Called the local dealer from the side of the trail to try and figure out WTF. Anyway remember a thread on this site about the crap on the gas tank coming off a clogging the screened filter on the end of the pumb. I managed to gimp it home to have a look. Well the filter was clogged solid with crap and i noticed that the inside of the tank had a granuler look to it almost like it was covered in sand. I flushed the tank out a few times with gas and put it back together. I'm not 100% sure that I got all the stuff out of the tank or off the sides of the tank. I know that this has happened to others but I would like your input on the best way to clean the tank out to insure no more of this stuff cloggs me up again.
