Going on from a comment i made in Taffys state of the site thread i'm just wondering what the balance is of pre-2009 and 2009 onwards bikes amongst the users of this site

So please vote which is you main bike.

If for example you've got one of each but come to the site mainly for one over the other just post a comment as to which bike you come here for the most, or if its equal.

Its not very scientific and isnt really going to prove much and just thought it might be interesting.

I'm in here for the post 2009 bikes and voted accordingly. Without this site I would not have brought a Husaberg. I would have been on a DRZ400 (Tractor).

I find I am really enjoying the posts on the older school Husabergs. I would like an old Husaberg as a project but the wife would not be impressed.

The individual characters on this site really make it worth logging on once a day with a coffee and enjoying the read. Taffy especially cracks me up, this site would only be half the site it is without him. It was one of Taffys’ rants that made me join up to ask him what he was on about. Dales stories and photos are sensational. Scwim is a legend. The list is endless, the respect of Gazza and his Dakkar experience, Looki’s videos, Bushie’s knowledge, Steve, Cypher, Codemonkey, Madtrapper, Berglsmerg, Tazer, Berger …….

Great site guys, thanks for helping me learn about old school Husabergs and 70 Degree Husabergs.

PRe 09...Tricked up 2004 FE 550..I love it to bits and figure they'll have to drag it from my dead fingers

Post 09, I found this great site after buying my 09 FE570. Love the bike and love this site! I'm also a religious member of KTMTALK too.

Mines running like a lawyer to the liguer store, get out of the way.

After years of BMW street bikes I turned 50 and bought a 2008 FE 450 as my middle aged crisis. LOVE it!! Would like a new one but then maybe not.

can't believe I made the list !

knowledge? :?

would have thought "Bushies Botching" to be more appropriate :D

there are heaps of guys not mentioned above who know an incredible amount of stuff but not many of them post anything very often which is a shame really.

2006 FE450 Factory Works very much in love with this bike and we will never part are ways.

Well,
late 2000 was my first look at a husaberg, a quick squirt on a 2000 FC 600 and I was sold. Went straight out and brought the first berg I could find.
A few bergs later, I have touched around 500 hours ride time and still going strong. It took me a while before I would ask for help on this site. I have learned now,it is easier getting info from those who have already has simular experiences. It has certianly helped me from frustrating over something that can be resolved in minutes from the input of others from the site. The stories, pics, racing, modifications, quick fixes, entertainment, crashes, the good , the bad, its all here. Thanks!!
Every few days I still have a look through the site from habit now.
I am a earlier berg rider, 04 550.

18 months ago i seen my second ever husaberg was a 501 and since that day i said im gettin a berg and with out this site i would not have and for the past 5 months a been proud owner of fe 550 07 best machine i ever ridden walks all over my dads 07 ktm 450 exc LOVE IT........LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT.
WANNA RIDE IT NOW

you get my point

I've got a pre 09- well 2004 fs650 to be exact, and with out this site lets just say i'd have returned My husa within a week of having it, Thanks to allot of people and there experience with Husa's have helped me out allot where to look for problems what to do about issues etc and i can say i've never had a better for fun bike to ride in my Life up to now.Site's great like mentioned in other post well done to the guys for there effort on changing things and moving on, all it need now is to be tweaked to everyone's (the users) liking. All in All great job guys keep it up it all work out for everyone and we'll all still be here for years to come( i hope) :p .

Cheers Cypher,

My main ride now is my 09 570. However, I have posted in several threads helping folks with the pre 09 bikes as I have had much experience with them. From my first Husaberg, a used 94 & 1/2 501E, to the 2001 FE501E, to my 2004 FE550E, to my current bike.

So, still keeping active with the older bikes but, am mainly riding my 09. My 550 still has Gunnison mud on it that you put there Cypher!! I'm a little embarrassed to say that I have not washed it, but, it's parked right next to where I keep the 570 and the 501, and it is a pleasant reminder of the great riding and good times we had at FR 3. I keep telling myself I need to give it a good spritzing and change the oil. I do keep the 550, 501, and 570 on battery tenders. I do need to give the 550 a once over and have it ready for the summer in mountains.

Hi, Gang....
Still Pre '09, a '98 fc501, just 70 original hours. No chance in h*** I'll ever manage a newer one. :(
Ah, well, great bike, better company in all Y'all!!!
Keep on keepin' on!

I have a 2001 FC 550. This site is worth it's weight in gold for everything Berg- old or new.....Bergblaster

I love my 550, second berg too...This site made Husaberg what it is for me, thanks!

2010 FE450! I wouldn't have purchased it without this site as a resource.
No regrets! Great bike, and Great site! thanks to all who contribute ideas, solutions, questions, answers, etc...
you get the idea, its the people that make it all work! :D

Best rallye bike platform bar none !

Loved the FE650 '07 & '08 great bikes, light fast grunt, super strong, super reliable, 30,000 km in rallye racing over 3 years with 7 different bikes and 6 different riders and not a single mechanical DNF or issue with the OEM bike, 4 top 10 Safari finishes with one top 5 finish. Cant beat that

Now its all 570's, love the handling, love the reliability again. So far 20,000km rallye racing with 7 different bikes and 6 different riders again. 1 top 10 Safari finish so far (look for the first podium this year  ) and a 3rd outright at Yilgarn Rallye. But 1 mechanical dnf so far (rider rode it like a 2 stroke and killed it !).

Some new stuff learnt re the fuel system & filters, plus the head gasket & high sustained speed. Got fixes for both of these now. Now also great long range fuel solutions with Aqualine & 70 Degree Racing tanks.

Just need a Ohlins TTX rear shock to be avialable off the shelf !

Next task is to get the 570 to breath better with bigger throttle bodies or similar solution.

Biggest Santa christmas wish is a 70 degree sloper Berg around 650-700cc direct from the factory. (Coma is using a 740cc LC4 based motor at the moment.......................imagine what that is like 8O )

Not much in it so far Cypher. I would have expected more than 68 votes though.
Does the voting and score help the Doomcaster with his site health predictions?
