vin or frame

Just a curious question. Can owners of new and old Husaberg's confirm that the bikes does NOT have the VIN number stamped on the frame? Mine is a 2006 FE450 and the VIN is just the sticker on the steering head. If this is true to all Berg's i could basicly have three bikes with the same...
