undoing

i have just done an engine which has tappet locknuts with nearly 1mm of lateral slop! can i ask any of you checking tappets in the near future fo do this check for me and undo the locknut a 1/4-of-a-turn and see what lateral movement you can get. i had an engine last week that was...
