Hey I'm new to this forum just wondering if someone could help me out finding a valve tappet screw for my 2000 fe 400. Ive been looking online everywhere and haven't found anything. I was wondering if there is a good substitute for this part or a good place to find them.

Just had the motor out of my 2005 650 to do the timing chain. Put it back together and now there is a moderate leak from the tappet cover. Is there a way to remove it and reseal it with out pulling the motor out again?
Any info apreciated.

i bought my 2005 fs650 a couple of weeks ago. after 60 or so miles it stopped.! intake cam follower roller collapsed and one of the intake tappet adjusters sheered off. new cam, new roller, new adjuster and set all the valve clearances.
managed to get 50 ish miles before the other intake tappet...
has anyone else ever had this?
my tappet screws have always gone all the way through until only 3/4 of the nut thread is holding on on one and the others well, the top of the screw is level with the rocker arm.
there is the possiblity that over the years i have mixed an arm or two but...
i have just done an engine which has tappet locknuts with nearly 1mm of lateral slop!
can i ask any of you checking tappets in the near future fo do this check for me and undo the locknut a 1/4-of-a-turn and see what lateral movement you can get.

Hi, Can anyone confirm the tappet clearance to use with the LX1 grind camshaft, I have seen .010'' inch ( about .25mm) mentioned, certainly a lot more than std cam clearance?
