How many teeth can I go up on the rear sprocket without having to go to a new chain? Rear wheel is almost as far back on the adjusters as it can go. Currently the bike has 15/42 on it. I'd like to gear it a little more to off road ( tighter stuff).

Just about to change my chain, which is at max adjustment. It has been suggested that I should also change the sprockets even though they look ok. Do you normally change sprockets as a matter of course when getting a new chain? Thanks
