So had a major failure on mine,problem being I’m told the engine is 2005,but it’s a 2004 bike,part numbers are different.....are these interchangeable?

my sprag siezed quite some time ago now but every one sais allways start it on the kicker in the morning i had never done this until my battery went flat hadnt been ridden for a month so i kicked it big back fire and siezed sprag so what do you do...? my bike has allways started on the button...

The sprag clutch on the '98 600 locked up yesterday. Started it cold on the kick only at about 10 celcius to make sure it would go then stopped it 10 seconds later. It didn't make any unusual noises when it stopped. Tried to kick it 15 minutes later & the starter span with the engine...
