sluggish

Hi all, my battery seems to be loosing charge over time. I wondered whether I had an alternator problem (i.e. battery is not getting charged while running)? Is there a method to check this? Maybe coincidentally, my front lights have just stopped working too (have an Acerbis diamond headlight...
