sidestand

Need a sidestand for a new to me Berg. Will the new Apico aftermarket side stands bolt on my 99 501?

When i look for parts for my 08. I mostly see 09-14. And it says KTM etc. But rarely anything specific so i know its for my bike. (talkin aftermarket and used now) im missing a sidestand and looking at the oem its about 250$ here. On ebay ive seen aftermarket one for less then half. Anyone here...

Right, my sidestand (kickstand as some call it) fell off on the weekend. DCR want £48 for a new one and I don't really want to spend that much. I'm after either second hand, a cheaper universal one or a way to make one my self lol. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks, Carl

Hi guys, Has anyone found the need to shorten their sidestand? I have a lot of trouble out in the bush because my bike seems to sit too upright. :x I have an 05 FE650 std height. I feel i need to shorten the stand by about 12- 19 mm (1/2-3/4 inch) but i am worried about fuel loss...

I just bought a brand new sidestand kit from MotoXotica (not that any of this is their fault) for a freakin trillion dollars (why the heck is Husabergs side stand so expensive....is it made of gold or something??) and one of the hooks on the large spring has broke....I haven't even had it out on...

Has anybody "fixed" their side stand so it doesn't fold up at the slightest movement of the bike? I bumped the bike while working on it and it fell over, luckily it fell against my work chair and didn't hit the ground. Any ideas ? Thanks Vern 06fe650
