I finally got all my parts back from various places for my 2000 FC 501.
I don't have a piston ring install tool. So I tried the following being very careful, but gave up right away before I had done any damage.
Maybe I could have done it the opposite way, but that's not what I did.
So I...
Hi,
I’m interested in checking the condition of my piston / rings. Will the top end come off the cylinder with the engine in situ or do I have to plan on removing the engine?
The space looks pretty cramped, but maybe removing the rad frees up enough room?
Thanks.

Put a long hard trail ride on a 570 with the new Revloc Dyna Ring today and it was flawless. Everything as promised. I never thought I would like an auto clutch but I will never go back to stock. This clutch makes tough trails way easier. If ridden right I can see a distinct advantage for...

Just wanted to give a heads up to all the berg owners with FCR carbs. There is an O ring on the vacuum release plate on the slide. This is something you may want to look at replacing every so often as a matter of maintenance.
I just replaced mine and when I started the...

Is this made in this manner at everybody?
Why is this solved in this manner?
:dontknow:
Recently had a discussion about the advantage of Ring-chains versus No-Ring chains on offroad-bikes.
I say, that non-ring is better, why:
I do prefer simply solutions
Way cheaper (wear is bigger, but even in comparison: cheaper  )
way less internal friction (why spending hundreds of...

So, we headed to Finland for the race 3 and 4 in the cup. Botnia Ring is located some 60km from Vaasa. It was the first time we raced on this track, so it was interesting in more than one perspective.
My competitors had spent all Thursday on the track, when I showed up at lunchtime on Friday...
