Hello all.
I have a quick query regarding footpegs for a pre 70 degree Husaberg.
Ultimately I’d like to score some lower, more rearward pegs.
-Would I be right in thinking the footpegs on an 08’ FE450 are interchangeable with KTM footpegs from the same era?
-Has anyone any...
So the engine is splash/bath lubricated.
Primary gear, clutch, idler and kick gear on the left side of the engine, in oil bath.
Gearbox on the right side also in oil bath and oil can flow freely between right and left side.
Cam, rockers, valves gets splash lubed by the oil carried by...
Hey all! Are you up for the challenge? I just came across Steve member here that has passed 800 engine hours without needing major rebuild. He has original bottom end and even chlutch!!!! He uses Dello 400 with some Lucas oil stabilizer. I am going to have 650 rebuilt and I will set it up and go...
So as it the title is the a aftermarket stand for the older bergs? I see the Trail Tech ones for the post 09 these look great are sold as been much stronger and are half the of the cheapest OME replacement… So is there a equalivent for the older frames? With a different spring mount can the tour...
Have had my berg now for a few months 1999 FE501E. I am educating myself on all that is "BERG" wished I would have bought it back in 99. Maybe then I could get more info.
I know many new KTM and Berg parts are interchangeable I have also learned many of my new parts I am ordering have KTM...

so i thought this might be of some interest for people with pre 03 husabergs wanting to fit newer wheels from ktms.
last night i bought some wheels (26mm spacers) from a 2011 ktm they were talon hubs, ... and i made them fit without any money spent.
ok the rear wheel although being 26mm had a...
Aluminum Omero tank, with petcocks. I wet sanded and polished it but then used it 3 times so it's not showroom perfect. No dents or gouges. It gives the bike a very nice slim feel. It holds a little less fuel than stock (can't remember exactly how much).
It was mounted on an 05 but takes 06 to...
had some trouble splitting the crank on a 2000 engine I'm doing, the last of the early engines. there is very little metal around the big end pin. one engineer refused to do it as their normal equipment couldn't do the job.
I have had a plate engineered that allows this to be done now so if...
Hi all
I've seen this subject addressed, but never cleared, specially for the 2001/2002 engines, because the 2003 engine will be different outside (magnetic bung, and head bleeder screw).
My idea is that all of you that still has this bikes put here your engine numbers, and that way we will...
OK here is the first big hurdle for the 1989-2003s
we can get over most things but this one is a killer....
there are no more cam follower bearings available fort these models. I've run out of CFBs already. we need a new supplier and fast!
if any of you can help by getting inside the...
I just thought I'd give me a plug! I can normally only get people to phone and say how good something is but for once someone put it in writing to me. He's a war hero from Afghanistan, pensioned off due to losing a couple of fingers, who is quite a character and fun to have around the...
Luggage options? I've searched, and haven't found much for the 2008-style 'berg. I'm guessing the biggest I can get is a Giant Loop Coyote, but I'd really like the Dirtbagz type of panniers. I realize there are no passenger pegs for mount points, but those racks don't hold the weight as much as...
(For an '[08 FE450)
I bought a new foam air filter- No Toil. Looking at it in the packaging, it looks smaller than my stock foam. I can't tell for sure, but I don't want to open the package and not be able to return it. I don't want a smaller filter- my jetting is spot-on, and I don't want to...
I've got an '08, and my first oil change, I didn't remove the skid plate because one of the bolts had become one with the nut, and I didn't have all night to deal with it. So, changing the oil without removing the skid plate made quite the mess. But, the location of the skid plate mounting bolts...
I've seen a few threads for the newer bikes, but not the pre-'09's...
So, the problem is, I'm short, and the bike is tall. The crazy kickstand swings up if I lean the bike slightly to the right, and I don't trust it to hold my weight, so getting on and off this thing is a major chore.
I've...
My new FE 390 arrived last week and I decided to do the pre-filter and Can-AM inline filter mods.
So I did this mod over the past weekend and noticed that the original 10 micron filter was missing. I didnt find this in the engine parts manual either. So my question is if this bike comes with...
Hi All,
My steel plates are blue and I need a new clutch pack. What is the purpose of the pre tension spring on the inboard side of the clutch pack? Can I remove this with the aftermarket clutch plates? What is the purpose of this? What is your quest? What is the air speed velocity of the...
I have contacted DC plastics who do a lot of vintage MX & enduro plastics. They are very keen to have a look at doing plastics kits for the old bikes.
How can I use the forum to get a rough idea on numbers that would like a new set of plastics for their bikes?
From memory the plastic models...
I made a cover for the airbox to wash the bike. Tired of taping plastic over the filter.
It's made out of fiberglass. It's kind of a ruff cut but works great. For a seal I have 2 strips of
double sided molding tape where the contact side to the frame is dulled and makes a very good cushion...
