opinions of the 03

I have the opportunity to get a '03 FE 501 with about 500 miles on it. I know the guy real good and know the bike was well taken care of. Do you think $3500 wouild be a good price? What (if any) problems did they have that year. I can't think of any. Please provide any input you can think of...
