kicked

I just adjusted my valves after break-in as posted earlier. I went to start it(my '94 fc6000) manually, but it's acting like I have no manual de-comp at all, almost impossible to kick over. And maybe I to am hearing things because I thought I heard a snap sound when trying to kick over. Kicked...
