Hi, Took the 2 x covers off the lower joint/bearing. Bearing itself looks and feels good (no radial, lateral, or longitudinal play). But I damaged the two covers in the removal. Don't need the whole bearing replaced - just those two cover rings. Looked high and low, and can't find those...

I'm in the midst of servicing the heim bearings. I've yet to remove either the upper or lower bearing but... The upper collars cam out with a few taps. The upper bearing is clean and moves freely by hand. I had to kidnap a rabid gorilla and give him a sledge hammer in order to get the lower...

i got through two lowers during the first 3-4 years of ownership and over the last two years i've knocked out the upper which isn't even in the muck and mire!!!!! so please report in which order and when you knocked yours out? regards Taffy
