Hi everyone,
I would like to drain my tank, but simply pulling it out won't work as I also have a 70 degrees racing subframe tank installed. Is there any way to drain via the quick release valve installed after the filter? Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
I've been trying to get the e-start to work on my 650, mainly cause I had some knee problems after a "nice" fall and I've been having a tough time kicking it in, so I ordered a yam r6 starter from e-bay. Fitted it, hooked it up to a car battery since the original battery is small and had gone...
i know theres been a lot of questions asked already but there seems to be no real 1st hand write ups i can find..i have just bought an 012 390 for racing and having always raced 450's i am wanting to fit a full system to give the bike more torque and hopefully a bit more on top where it seems to...
I was wondering if I could fit the swingarm and rear shock from an '06 FE550 to my '00 FC501?
I may be wrong, but looking at my bike and the 550, I cannot spot differences on the frame other than engine area
Any thoughts?
Finally got the old girl all back together today and after 100 to 150 kicks (or so it felt like!!) the snap crackle of my 650 filled my quiet street once again ( i have several elderly neighbours who were happy to see it in bits lol).
Any way with the taffy sm kit installed it popped and banged...
I have had some dramas restarting my 09 570 the last couple of rides. It always fires first time when cold but there seems to be a theme developing that the bike will not start when it gets really hot. It has a brand new Yuasa battery fitted, that showed as putting out just under 14v at idle...
here's one for Mats....
for those that don't know it, the early and late flywheels can be swopped. so a pre 2004 can have a flywheel from a kokusan ignition bike fitted. everything sits fine.
the problem is that the kokusan has a staple trigger on the outside of the flywheel and that is also...
I fit the radiator fan on the weekend. Let me tell you its a wrestle getting the tank back on!! You have to loosen the radiator mounting bolts completely. The kit didn't come with the rubber grommet the instructions refer to however I am chasing the supplier for the missing piece.
Subsequent...

Finally fitted them up and got a thermo switch (Tridon 95-90 deg)
tested it today and it works great, 3 position toggle manual/off/auto on
The ballbearing fans fitted to both sides really suck the air through and out
hi guys
may have bought a bit of a duffer berg here, it is fitted with a old style mechanical type of speedo an milage counter, it is a 2003 f650 supermoto should this not be fitted with the digital style one??
Looking to bling my Berg i know Bergs are, shouldn't be bling cause to ride them is all you need but i have the money to spend so anyone know if fitting a 5" rear will it get ripped up by the chain?
I find I'm lugging the engine in second gear more than I'd like on tight trails. The stock gearing is 15/48. One tooth lower in the front (14) would be fine, but I prefer to go larger on the rear. Keeping the 15 on the front will make for a longer life for the chain and sliders. I think 15/52...
G-day Berg'ers,
my first time online, so am getting used to the whole deal... has anyone fitted the 2006 taillight extender to a previous model, i have the new extender to fit to my mighty FE550e, but would like to know what I am in for before spinnin' the spanners.
are the exploded assembly...
i took the carb into the engineer's and he has bored it to 41mm as he did with scoots. i had a blanking plate made for the end of the TPS shaft and most importantly i had a belmouth fitted.
most of you will have heard of this through dale. i had the alloy belmouth machined (as opposed to...
dale please?
i once read that the ignition curve of the SEM isn't quite spot on.
would however the CDIs from the coil be different twixt 400/501/550/650? if so does it help to fit one from one model to hop up another?
regards
Taffy

i've just fitted the later gear selector claw today and will report how it goes.
the boss that fits into the engine case now sits on a shoulder of welded metal that forces the base plate 3mm away from the engine instead of 1.5mm.
the base plate and the claw plate are far thicker at...
