So obviously the 2 are related,is there any adjustments I can make at the basket to solve this? There is a brand new slave cylinder, master cylinder operates as it should,no air in the system.....it’s as if the throw on the pushrod is just coming up short. Adjusting lever span makes no difference.
My clutch drags worse than I have ever seen. Enough where it will stall the bike on pavement. I did a bottom up bleed and got all of the air out of the system. I initially thought that the clutch just wasn't disengaging but I took off the clutch cover and can see it disengage. Ruger said his...
Just when i thougt the bike was in a decent state another problem presented itself, so i have to bother you guys with another question. When pulling the clutch lever if the bike is cold and in gear the bike no longer is easy to push forward by hand. In neutral or once the bike warmed up the...
 hi all , my berg suffers from a bit of clutch drag, just wondered if they are all a bit draggy or do they suffer from clutch plate distortion, and befor anyone asks the cable is correctly adjusted... :?:
Hi
Please help,
I put the bike on the right hand side to remove the cover and replace the water pump seal, finished up and now the kickstarter is jammed, won't move, I tried to bump start and when you engage a gear even with the clutch in it drags.
it feels like it's got thick glue...
Hi i have a problem with my clutch as in it won't disengage fully, and won't let me select neutral when the engine is running. i read on this forum about problems with the shaft through the clutch not being long enough, is this the problem? :?
me mate chris has a '05 FE450 that he races. he had the waterpump seal go at the last meeting as well that and the previous meeting he was having clutch trouble. i hope i've got this right?
well anyway, he has put new plates in and sorted the WP and oil issue etc. but alas on starting it...
98 FC 501 Well decided to take 'er on down to the local Gooding, Idaho 1/8th mile drag strip and see how she ran. Had to bail out of the first 2 races due to kick startin issues (wouldnt start in all the excitement, and I need to exercise my left leg some more and maybe do some aerobics)...
noticed i have significant clutch drag even with all the adjusters at their limits. this bike is brand new to me as of yesterday. i have had several bikes and done lots of clutches. it sounds like me that the basket may be grooved. can these be filed down a bit like the jap bikes? other ideas...
My second post and somewhat of an update on working the bugs out of my 600E. This Berg might have been sitting for more than two years like I mentioned in my first post and I'm not sure now what year it is. The previous owner said that it was a leftover, so could this be a '96? The VIN is...
