Whats your favorite way of cleaning electrical connections where they snap together? Is the use of dielectric grease on all fittings a good idea or just on some?

i just put a new battery in and need some close-up pictures of the fs650e battery pos/neg connections?? i have 2 wires--a positive and negative wire (not the terminal connections) that i have never seen on other bikes--like my KTM--before. where do they go. again, i'm not talking about the thick...

It seems the battery in my bike is fine: 12.8v. I did not have the courage to start it tonight, my left leg still hurts from yesterday :lol: (Actually not the only thing that hurts) The starter apparently is fine, as it worked fine when I first got the bike and it did so at Ken's house...
