can anyone tell me please on the new (012) closed cartridge fork is the spring length 450 or 485mm?...thanks

Hi: I just bought a 2011 Husaberg FE 450. I am thrilled and positively impressed with the new CC forks. They are way better. Much more precised that the OC forks. They are also smooth enough for enduros (I even had to stiffened them a little trought clicks - 8 clicks out instead of 12...

Hi I am looking at buying a FE390. I have read in this forum that the 2011 model has Closed Cartridge Forks. Can someone please explain what the benefits over Open is, and is it worth me waiting for the 2011 model a couple of months away, or just get the 2010. Thanx in advance Fizz

I am trying to change fork oil wt. but cannot see how to remove the cap from the cartridge to remove the spring. Fork legs are off the bike. The caps have adjustable preload (pin spanner holes). This is on an 05 FS650E. Any help is appreciated. Donald
