    Beringer Brakes

2003 501e, I fitted 6 pot Beringer brakes, lovely bit of kit I must say. Issue when I reach 60 mph the speedo re zeros it's self. It looks as though the pickup is to far away from the magnet, the magnet is as close as it can be. I have read that other people have had the same issues else where...

Brakes went soft after sitting for a few months

I have done a search and found similar posts, but nothing quite answers my question... My 2010 FE450 brakes worked fine for the first 1.5 years. They worked fine in April. My bike then sat in the garage until July 4th. I then noticed that my front brake level pulled all the way in to the...

Front Brakes Gone After Changing Tire

Good day all... I replaced the front tire on my 2010 FE450 today and when I put everything back together and test drove it --- NO FRONT BRAKE. Lever had no pressure and pressed all the way to the grip. I pumped many, many, many times and no improvement. This is probably the third time I've...

Front Brakes Gone Soft - FE390

After the bike sat for most of the winter, my front brake now doesn't do much. The lever doesn't feel that squishy, but I need to really pull it hard, nearly all the way in, to get any real braking action. Even pulling it really hard doesn't lock up the wheel. The pads are fine, and the fluid...

    Lesson learned about bleeding brakes

I bled out the old fluid on my FS650 about 4 times and still had a spongy lever. Turned out the air bubble was trapped in the high spot above the number plate. Unbolted the master cylinder to get it up higher than the line and it's like a new bike. :)

Trying to sort rear brakes issue fe 550

Lads, 2 things I'm looking at, 1. first, read on this site I'm sure about milling 30% of the brake pad away to reduce rear brake locking...I'm struggling with my 550 on semi loose / loose downhills with the rear being impossible to stop from locking up. If I was to try the...

The brakes for enduro FE550s Force in use for motard?

Hi chaps! I'm looking forward to buy 17 inches wheels and put them on my enduro and make the enduro bike, motard bike. Does anyone used the standard front enduro caliber (Brembo) in motard (provided that the disk will be changed to 310mm)?? Just to say that I don't race the bike, I just ride...

    spongy brakes

I have an '05 fs650e supermoto with the new radial caliper which works very well----------but despite changing the fluid and bleeding the system I find the lever still quite spongy-even coming back to the bar although I must admit at that stage the front tyre is squealing and about to put me...
