Hello Gents, looking for some insight into the mounting of my 600 engine. My swing arm pivot bolt is to large and there is some kind of brass fitting in the mounting hole. Is this fitting removable or interchangeable for another size ?
Sorry can’t figure out how to upload my pics.
Here is...
After a complete rebuild of my 92 FE 501 we cannot find the bolts that attach the front brake caliper assembly. The aluminum mount and wheel/disk is all OK.
Is this the same front brake assembly used on a KTM? Husky? or?
If no bolts, our alternative is to replace the entire WP #4054...
Hi all, long time since I've been on the forum as the 390 is in bits having a winter refurb ! I have purchased a solid rear and new front stainless disc from racedisks Now for the question Is it OK to put stainless bolts into the alloy hub ? I have read that there can be a reaction between the...
I'd like to purchase the style of bolts found on late model Husabergs. The ones with the star drive in the middle of the head of the bolt. Does anyone know of a supplier or retailer where they can be purchased in various sizes?
Thanks.
3 out of 6 subframe bolts are seized and just spinning in the mouldings for the tank and the rear subframe.
any ideas how to get them out ? as i can't get the tank off until they're out.
After having the y fitting in radiator hoses fail on my 2010 FX450 at race a couple of weeks back and seriously overheating the motor. I had some concerns about the piston, then during an enduro last weekend it started blowing coolant out the overflow. So I decided to tear it down and replace...
Hello
I have a 2007 FE550E and have got myself some supermoto wheels and the 310mm Beringer supermoto brake kit.
Is it ok to use the standard enduro brake disc bolts to secure the 310mm supermoto brake disc to the hub?
Thanks
Just replaced the rear sprocket and bolts on my 05. The sprocket bolts were Moose. I was not too impressed with their quality. On some of the bolts the allen wrench would not fit quite square causing the wrench to slip when torquing them down. The nuts were just O.K.
On such a critical area...
Greetings all,
I just finished pulling off and putting back on the tank and upper sub frame truss on my 09 570. This to adjust throttle cables and check nuts and bolts etc...
The center bolts go into an Aluminum tube that is embedded into the top of the gas tank. When I was torquing...
Anyone know where I can buy pre-drilled for lock wire oil drain bolts. I know... I'm lazy and would rather buy the bolts. Drilling bolt heads with tiny drill bits is a PITA! I assume KTM drain bolts would work as well.
Thanks,
Mike
Did a re-grease & check on my head stem bearings a week or so ago, managed to hold the forks and pack grease into the bottom bearings and do the top bearing / whack a bit of extra grease into the head yube for good measure, so didnt actually remove the whole box and dice.
once I had it back...
OK, 10 hours of street riding on the 05 fs 650c bike after a dealer in the northeast rebuilt my engine. I was riding on a highway 55mph and the bike shut off. No compression. After openning it up as per the dealer, I see the cam/cam gear bolts got loose and broke/ I checked the valves with...
I'd like to replace the bolts on the front brake caliper and the rear sproket with stainless steel ones, is this ok to do?
I ask cos not sure if these bolts are high tensile or not and stainless shouldn't be used in high tensile applications.
thanks

For some reason the rear sprocket bolts sometimes slowly loosen over time with regular use. One friend with a KTM (same rear sprocket/bolt carrier as the HSB) did not pay attention to this and his bolts came loose causing some damage.
Take a minute to inspect and retorque these bolts at...
I was poking around the KTMTalk.com pages and ran across a posting concerning broken cam cover bolts. Since the new Bergs are put together in the same plant, the bolts probably come out of the same bin during assembly... Has anyone had any problems with broken bolts?
