Hello all! I haven't posted anything since my little new user intro and I thought it was about time to jump in here and share my Husaberg tale.
Last year I acquired a basket case 2001 Husaberg FE650E from a friend. I have no prior affinity for Husabergs and no experience with them. I just...
hello again!
I'm in need of a new clutch basket and primary gear. I have found these on ebay wich is supposed to fit. However my primary drive does not have a keyway slot. And the clutch basket on ebay has a needle bearing while mine have a bronze bushing. will this be a problem...
I have a 00 FE501-E that broken a tooth off the kick starter idler gear and it's taken out the clutch basket gear in the process. I can't seem to get a clear understanding of what is/isn't interchangeable so I'm looking for some guidance. The idler gear seems pretty simple and interchanges up to...
Do I need a clutch holder tool to remove the stock clutch basket? Installing a slipper. Anyone know the size of the nut? Says 18mm in the parts manual but I think that is the inside diameter.
Thx!
Hello,
I am new in this forum but read a lot for already half of year. As one day my husberg FE 550 2006 stooped performing I opened the engine an found quit many broken spares, (not clear there it started but starter free wheel hub is without "tooth") and clutch basket as well. As we do not...
The engine started to make new sounds today so I took of the clutch cover to check if the crank nut was loose again.
The nut was ok this time but there is one tooth missing on the clutch basket. Is this a normal problem? And WHY does this happen? Will one missing tooth make a loud noise? Or is...
When I got my 2002 FC550 it wouldn't shift into neutral with then engine running... I know, I know... it's normal, sorta!
So, I ordered new friction discs, new steels, and a new clutch hub and outer basket almost a year ago now, the old drum and basket were grooved pretty good. When I went to...
Hi guys,
I've managed to fix the leaking water from the water pump weep hole, so that's good news...
However, in the process I must have knocked the kick start shaft, as it is now jammed solid
I want to have a go fixing this myself but understand I need to remove the clutch basket...
When replacing the stupid water pump seal (again) the kickstart shaft popped out of place (again). I marked the clutch basket, crankshaft gear and top timing gear with a sharpie so I when I put it back together I could get everything aligned and timed correctly.
When I pulled the clutch...
I'm taking the clutch basket off to replace the sprague. I've got to the point where you have to undo the nut. The manual says you have to use the special tool to hold the clutch. Is it possible to undo this nut with normal everyday tools?
I have a fe 400e model 2001 and i found 1 missing tooth on the clutch basket.Last year I had a missing tooth on the gear wheel driving shaft and the part number on it was 230 146 01 coresponding for 2002 model,no 230 131 01 that is for 2001 model.
For clutch basket there are 2 models to...
