fitted the factory tall bar mount kit two months ago and in the first fall the bent the corners up on one side and in the second they ripped all the thread out. then yesterday they ripped the other thread clean out. TURNS OUT THE BOLTS ONLY THREAD INTO THE FIRST PART OF THE HOLES...

does anyone know where you can buy the front-of-bar clamps for hanguards that have a fat bar/pro taper size bar? they seem so expensive! some do a kind of pinch clamp but I need a front end on bolt-in job like the acerbis? 30-35 quid in the UK. ouch! regards Taffy

How much can you raise the bars without having to put on new cables, etc. ? The clutch cable is very short, looks like you might be able to route the cable to in front of the bar, but still probably only get a 2" rise?

Has any one mounted one of these from another brand. It seems they all mount on the throttle side as to keep your hand from twisting the throttle. This could get tricky with E-start button. Dumb question: Does my 08 450 have an auto decomp or just the manual one?

I tried to adjust the position of the bar clamps today and after removing the caps I found the lower clamp secured to the triple clamp with sockets head screws. The tricky part is that none of my allen keys fit. It seems to be sized at 7mm. WTF? Can anyone shed light on this?
