OK, so I decide today would be a good day to do the pre-season usual maintenance on my 'Berg, a '00 FC501. I need to completely go thru the carb as one of my list items, as it was sputtering when last it ran (Spring '07: I know, I know, I wish I rode more often, too, but that's not my reality)...

My '95 FE501 supermoto has a 38mm Dellorto carb, I've noticed that newer models have a 40mm carb. I'm wondering if the 40mm will bolt right on, or require a new intake manifold? Also what kind of power gain can I expect?
