14 or 50

Hi, My restoration continues, and will soon need to get the drive bits sorted. Obviously, sprockets are worn / toast, so am replacing the whole trifecta. I'd like to replicate what the previous owner had - 14T (OEM?) front, a really nice Supersprox 50T rear, and a high quality gold chain...

So 14/50 on the 06 Fe550e is so good for real enduro woods trails, very nice, it shortens the distance from 1-3 and I see 4th gear now! ..... but the bike is not as jedi berg fast as before, now it kinda fights the gears rather then speed up into each one. I can see how a racer would want...
