Hello

How do I exchange my fork's seals ? Could you please describe it to a beginner... ? :) I have a WP 5060 Husaberg-MX fork which came with my '98 Berg Fc400.

A lot of oil comes out of the fork that's why I think it's time to do this... could that have something to do with the 10W dork oil that I used instead of the 5W ?

Regards,
Timo

well lets see here. start by removing the forks from the bike, now unscrew the fork cap and then remove it. you may need a skinny wrench to slide between the springs coils. now remove the springs. look on the bottom of the fork and unscrew whatever is there (I dont remember what it is on the 50mm) it may take an impact wrench to get it to come loose. now you should be able to remove the damping rod. now pop off the fork boots and the dust shields. there should be some sort of snap ring that holds the seal in, remove that. now heat up the fork leg around where the seal and bushings are, this will make them easier to pop apart. now with one good solid yank, pull the two halves apart. the trick is to use one solid fast motion, dont be affraid to put some muscle into it.

I hope that helps, i did that all from memory and i dont have much experience with those particular forks, let me know if i can help any more.
