Title says it all! Looking for a 70 degree 390/450/570 on the east coast. Low hours? Plated? I'd snap up that 390 in Utah in a second, but Utah is far from NY... Anyone looking to thin the herd?

There are a lot of shipping options to ship the 390 from Utah.

I saw a 2011 FE570 on CL in western PA earlier today. It looked a little rough around the edges, but they are only asking $3k. If there is any room for negotiation it might be a nice deal

I've checked out pricing via uship, it's not awful, but adds a chunk of cash to the purchase. Any others you'd suggest?

And yes, I've seen that one as well, it definitely sounds like he'd take less, but also sorta sketchy, he still owes the bank money on it, etc... I'm in NYC/Hudson Valley, if it was a little closer I'd have already checked it out. There's another one closer, up near albany, but it looks really beat, dude can't tell the hours, and he wanks $5k.

I haven't used them, but I've got quotes from MotoShippers.com before and they seemed reasonable. A Google search of "motorcycle shippers" returns a bunch of results. Shipping fees could be a part of the negotiation terms between buyer and seller. Just food for thought.

If you call ask for Dan, he's the shop owner and it's his personal bike.

Finally talked to Dan, nice guy, sounds like it was a trade in. It's got pretty high hours/miles, 263/8000ish, not bad I guess if it's been mostly used on the street, which he thinks it was, but given how clean the bike looks I was hoping for lower... Is that unrealistic for $5k?

It was Dan's bike, he sold it to a guy and then that guy traded it back in a couple months later. It was ridden primarily on the street with Sumo wheels.

Not in my opinion. I picked my 2011 FE570 S a couple years ago for 4K from a guy south of Pittsburgh. It was pretty neglected, but it was the bike I was looking for. There just aren’t that many of them out there.

Mine has 280+ hours on it. Valves dead nuts, and leak down <4%. They really last.

All said and done, with the time and money I’ve spent getting it up to my standards, 5k would be a deal!

Fair enough. And honestly, that mileage wouldn't bother me at all if it was an 8 or 9 year old street bike, and it sounds like that's basically what it was, for all intents and purposes. Not writing it off yet at all.

And thank you all for the opinions and help so far!
