what part of cali ?Its a bit difference in fe and fs. IF u want both i would get a fe with a motardkit. The fs wont work good ofärgad bit a fe will do The road good enough.
Thanks guys, I was the first caller on the one in LA. The guy said it was mine but I'd have to wait 4 days to pick it up, promises,promises, done deal etc. Later, he left me msg saying he was going to sell it to someone for $1k over the asking price which I would have paid had I been given the chance. Of course he wouldn't return any of my calls. That bike was raced hard-you can see a dent in the frame in the CL pics and some of the pics were photoshopped, so despite having my heart set on it, I'm telling myself it was meant to be.
I think about pulling the trigger on the other LA one but it's 8k off road mi and never had a valve adj. $6700 is alot considering the mileage. The add says non negotiable, but the owner is a nice guy and I don't think it's been particularly abused. I'd spring for the harder to find 450 too but I've never seen one with a CA plate. Yes, I'd prefer an FE and yes, they're very different bikes, but if an FS did turn up, I'm pretty sure I could put it to good use. i don't mind driving to Norcal or wherever for that matter if someone's got something for me???

FS/FE Options
There is a guy sell an 07 FE650 on here, just a couple of threads below this one... In the pictures it looks freakin nice! I believe he said it's street legal and has the title.... Past that the other one I was talking about is in Southern CA.... I believe that's the one you're talk about... I wouldn't worry about the 8k miles.... Lost Rider on ADVrider has something like 30K on his 570 with only one rebuild..... I was honestly considering that same 570 myself and having it shipped to Georgia.

For less CA hassles the 2011 FE570S or the FS570 are CA street legal and will never have plate issues. When I was trying to find a 570 I tried a want ad on CL (after I had no luck for a while) and it eventually worked.
