Hi Guys,

I'm thinking of upgrading y factory Stator now that I have the light kit, fan and maybe add some more accessories.

I remember seeing an high output stator on Bossoffroad.com but can no longer find it. I did find this kit from Trail Tech (SR-8313), any thoughts? anyone have any experience with it?

Amazon.com: Trail Tech (SR-8313) 100W Stator Kit: Automotive

Thanks!

I don't think that is the correct stator from Trail Tech. I would think the 8310 would be the right one for your model of Husaberg.. Trail Tech designs these as plug and play for KTMs so although the basic stator is the same, the connectors and wire colors may be different.

I would call Trail Tech directly before I bought something off Amazon. They are very helpful with technical advice. If they can recommend the right stator then you can source one from where you want.

I have a Trail Tech 100W on my old KTM 520 and it works great. It converts everything to DC power through a supplied regulator/rectifier and gets rid of the AC powered lights the stock system has. This opens up the possibility of running LEDs which draw far less power.

I also have a Trail Tech 70 watt stator on my KTM 450 SXF. It is the biggest that will fit and it too works great.

Thanks John

I did contact Trail Tech, and while they were very quick to respond, they couldn't really tell me which stator to buy since they never had an husaberg like mine to work on.

Here's what they emailed me:

"The kit that is referencing the sr-8313 and the sr-8310 use the exact same stator. The difference in the two kits involves a DC jumper and I am not sure what is going to be the case with your bike. does the bike come with turn signals and the whole 9 yards? I have looked into the KTM stator part number and the stator is used on both of the bikes for these kits. I am going to talk with my fitment specialist to see if he has any insight to which may be your better option. But as I have stated before my disclaimer is still that we have not ever had one to do fitment on, so the instructions are going to be geared towards the KTM bike setup. For the 8310 kit the instructions are geared towards the Husaberg TE 300 and some of the newer Husaberg bikes. "

I don't use turn signals but I do everything else (hi-lo beams, horn, fan etc), so I'm still at lost as far as which one to get. maybe the fitment specialist will come through.. if not I guess I'l go with the SR-8310, especially because the 8313 states it is for "...EXC Bikes that come with Turn Signals and Key Switch", and my berg doesn't have a key switch.

Thanks John

Looks like they said about what I thought. I think you can make an 8310 work. All you have to do is make the connections coming out of the new TT regulator to your stock wiring. Could be plug and play if the connector types are the same as KTM.

I ordered a high output stator for my 2004 fe450 from my husaberg dealer

He sent me a trail tech SR-8310

Would the same stator (SR-8310) work in the FE550?

It looks like the 450, 550 and 650 all shared the same stator from the factory.
