noticed after a recent trackday on my '05 fs650e engine oil leaking down the left-hand frame rail from below the tank------------closer inspection showed oilwas actually coming from the lower edge of air-filter.
I guessed the oil was getting blown up into the upper frame rail from the cylinder head breather and soaking into the air-filter----------has anyone else experienced this and could it be a problem assuming an eye is kept on the oil-level in the cases.
Regards
Alan

FYI when you drop the oil, about 130ml stays inside the crankcase !

I use a 100ml syringe and silicone tube to suck the (hot) oil out through the oil filler hole.

Then when you fill her up with a litre of new oil it won't be over filled.

I never fill and gauge the volume by the oil window alone.

Thats why a quart of oil seems to be just right
