Where does this go???

I found these two parts under my bike a few days apart. I think they go in the carb somewhere but not really sure. Can someone let me know where they go? Does the spring go on the short end of the needle? I'm a complete newbie to Bergs and my last 3 bikes were fuel injected so I'm out of practice with carb parts

thats the idle mixture adjustment screw

there should be an oring and a small washer between it and the spring, the o ring might be stuck up in the carb

if parts are missing get an aftermarket adjustable one from RKYmtn ATV

screw it all the way in and count the turns out from there

start at 1.5 turns out

my brass one had to be screwed in a bit today to get it running right, was overfueling when you blip it and cutting out.

hard to get at it so bought one of those blue anodised ones with the easy to grab knurls from taffy
