I recall getting gas on one of my motorcycle trips, and as I'm fueling up in my full leathers, I heard the cager next to me comment about how ridiculous my gear looks and I must be stupid for wearing it in 100+ degree weather. I wanted to respond "well please stop trying to kill me on the streets and all this gear would not be necessary" argh!

What is the dumbest thing anyone has said about your gear or bike? Tell us the story, give details!

Riding on the beach on a then new 2012 FE570, I was stopped by an old bloke in a new range rover vogue asking me if I was happy with my new trail bike - "its one of those brands from china right?" I smiled and asked him what he thought of his Tata.

I get the questions about no kickstarter on my Berg all the time.

When I ride my street bike, I get the question, "Is that a car engine in that thing?".

+1 on the " Where is the kickstarter " question, I reply with does your car come with a crank handle ? Same as the " what happens if the starter doesnt work ", well what would you do if your kick start breaks ?

You scared us with that thing we are on walking trails ?? (slightly modified FE550 ) ...i said my family owns the walking trails and this is private property !! but i don't mind you using them.. in the future when you see thunder coming at you sideways move to one side

I imported my Husaberg from USA to Canada. The friendly (but not too bright) fellow at the official "vehicle inspection facility", needing to complete the required form asked "what's that thing weigh, about 600 pounds?"
I said "no, it's about 275 pounds". He replied "no way! that's incredible!". Apparently a dirt biker he was not.

He was probably one of those girls who ride 4 wheelers lol

People at work and my friends cannot say husaberg! they are husa what?
I just had to get me a blue one. Too many orange bikes in the woods. Picked up a 14" te250 3 weeks ago. Went 2.5 hours north last weekend to ride. North of muskegon MI to Holton and Horseshoe single track. They still have over a foot of snow. Buried my truck at trail head and didnt get to ride. The itch is on!!

I had a guy a while back on a KLX450 tell me my FE570 looked "too heavy"!!!!!

Ha ha! I just remembered one from years ago when i first got my '07 FE550. A mate of mine who rode a WR450 at the time looked at it and asked me where the missing parts were. He couldn't get past the space in the frame where a conventional airbox would live!

Try bringing a supermoto to a group DS ride...

"Might as well have bought a street bike."

I remember arguing one time with a really childish Honda owner, this bloke was a one eyed honda fan right or wrong CR's and CRF's are gods gift to motorcycling, best bikes ever. This guy is winning a losing battle with me, I pointed out the hydraulic clutch, quality fittings, nice shiny hubs, billet triple clamp acra exhaust etc etc, finally tried to drive the nail in the coffin with, " how many of your jap $hitters have taken out three Australasian Dirt Bike of the Year Awards in a row, an award that is given to a bike which is chosen from across the ENTIRE SPECTRUM of dirt bikes that can be purchased in Australia?"

His response ? " How many motocross races has a Berg won" he was talking about the aussie and US MX scene in the last 10 years, tried to tell him about euro mx and MX des nations. Face palm, sigh, walk away. :wall:

Moral of the story, never argue with an idiot, they'll drag you to their level and beat you with experience.

one came pass me on trail bike
"where's the air box's ? doesnt she have one"

Nah.. mate... she's got oxygen tank , under the tank case I want to cross a creek looking for crab's if gets too deep

Old x boss I use to work for (hasnt even see it) just thinks cause its a "650"
"why short arse like ya self get big whale"?

"Love whales that has Big Teeths to chew"
