My 2007 FE 650 is just not the bike for tight woods, and all my racing buds say a 300 is awesome. I'm craving one.

It's no cherry, in the ~30 hours I've put on it, I've had it down more than a few times, but have all new factory graphics which can put it in mostly new condition. Speaking of having it down, that 30 pounds lighter weight is a big factor. Also on long hills! (Set a new heart rate record last weekend on a hill, 194 bpm. My theoretical absolute MAX heart rate is 170.)

A fellow is interested in it for $3000, I think that's a fair price based on what I see for used Husas in the US, but I see on bikesales.com.au they're going for twice that amount with much higher time on the clock, and when the currency is converted, the difference is even higher!

What's a fair price in the US?

I would say 3000-3500 is pretty good right about now I have had no luck getting any bites on my 650 and it has about 20 hrs total on it. Also in Australia anything moto is about 3X the price offten time you see people from au asking some one in the us to buy something fro them and ship it to them to save $$$$

It would certainly be worth an extra thousand or two to crate it up and call a shipper.

Where are you located, Spencer?

I was in the south but I couldnt stand the freeking heat or lack of a decent place to ride anymore so I moved back to the west coast Im up in the Seattle area now. My berg is actually at Taskys on consignment right now

I've decided to keep it and tame the beast.

I realized after reading the other thread and doing some calculations how far off my springs are, so I know now I can get a lot more out of this bike with proper suspension setup.

I'm very excited! I knew I was a better rider than this! But when everything you do doesn't feel right, and most times doesn't turn out right, you have to crawl along and be careful. Add onto it the exhaustion of fighting a big bike, and well... I can't wait to get it done right!

I think I will end up doing the same I really like the big berg I dont think Ill get to ride it too much but at least i know its there

Yup, I was going to take about a $3000 beating, then cough up thousands more for another bike.

Suspension, and maybe a Recluse, and it'll be a different story.
