New to Husaberg ownership. Have a 1999 FE501E I just picked up and intend to Dual Sport it here in Nevada. Will the side plastic and rear fender from a 1996 600 fit my bike? If not, what other years and models should I look at for interchangeability? Thanks in advance for any replies, JaX

no they wont fit without modification, would have to be 1998-99 model, the earlier side number plates look like they will fit but the rear bolt will be about 1/2 inch short for the holes to line up, i also am pretty sure that the rear fender is not going to be quite right either, guess i hadn't tried one of them, 1997-1999 will work without problem but pre1997 had a shorter seat or something and are not the same so either there will be a gap or will hit the seat or something not right, like steve said if its a 2000 definatly no chance without major mods
Acerbis and UFO used to make plastic for the '97/'98 models in the OEM color which is a different shade of yellow than your '99. The '96 and earlier plastic will definitly NOT fit if you can even find some (my first Husaberg was a '96 FE501).

if you are interested i have a couple NOS side number plate sheilds from a 1998 and a couple front fenders one is NOS yellow the other blue and some used but decent radiator shrouds, if you are interested send me a pm with your email address and location and i will send you some pics and a estimate, i have a NOS rear fender too but i dont think i am ready to part with that yet as i still may use that one, and it was HARD to find.......also have a spare "fe" fuel tank
the sidesheilds from a 1997 are closer in appearance to the 1996 and older than they are to the 98-99, they wont work unless you were to cut the rear mount braket off the subframe and move it back a half and inch or so, so its really an easy modification to the subframe if you have a weldor and a cutoff wheel, but bolt right on no.........
