Suzuki engine / purpose built chassis.
Would such be a good avenue for "Husaberg"?

Please let me know your thoughts.

Sincerely,
Dale

Didn´t you already try this? I mean with the factory back then?

/Peter

Q2: Is the current Husaberg engine competitive or are you talking pre 2001?

Indeed and was successful. Unfortunately such happened to coincide with
the purchasing of Husaberg by KTM. We put the smack down on "Factory KTM" while the ink was still wet.
Needles to say our press was subdued.

In light of the perceived renewed interest in Husaberg
competition I thought perhaps the timing to be a bit better.

No?

Tell me your thoughts.

Best Regards,
Dale

I´d be there to see the race. That´s what I think! :D :D :D

Q3: If KTM were not too happy then (when thy should have cheered the success of their new accuisition) what you think they´d say now??

That would be very cool. Haven't the Japanese made an impact on dirt track racing lately? It'd be nice to see the Euros take part as well.

Get grinding on that beryllium copper, Dale. I don´t think anyone here will discourage you!!!
Everyone wants Husaberg to be a race contender.
Funding? Perhaps this is where UHE and the dealers should pull together??? Instead of a cross-country trek??

Well, They are apparently saying yes to other disciplines of US
competition now. Why not "Dirttrack" given the potential
high profile?

The imported SM / Enduro race bikes are not the
same equipment one may purchase from a local dealer
so my question would be why not a purpose built
factory Dirttracker again?

Dirttrack is indeed on the rise and the big
five are on board.
Why not Husaberg?

I do not expect such to really happen. Simply providing
food for thought given the interest in current
Husaberg factory race bikes.

Dale

I say it´s a wonderful idea. Easy to say when you don´t have to pay...

???
Really?
Current "Factory" bikes?
To the public?

I don´t know what to say, Dale.. That is without getting into trouble again... :D

Hi Aspen,
I can tell you "Dirttrack" is the breeding ground
of World Champion Road Racers.

Kenny Roberts, Wayne Rainey, Eddie Lawson,
The Bostroms, Jake Zemke, Jason Disalvo,
Kenny Noyes, Norifumi Abe just to name a few.

How important is that?

Dale

How do you rate the potential of the current gen Husa engine i Dirttrack?
Modified to whatever extent ofcourse.

Minus some unnecessary hardware a potential winner.

What about Husaberg building the purpose built chassis with expert help and actually also trying to sell the bikes to racers on Monday after winning on Sunday. Offer comfort seats and lighting kits and flat track fans might buy some and put them on the streets in states with liberal licensing requirements.
