I thought I would start this discusion to see what you guys are most picky about
with your bike and setup.
For me its my Bar and lever position. My bar needs to be exactly centered. I'm talking perfect!. And the forward and back position within microns it seems. I know exactly
where it needs to be. The levers are the same. Brake and Clutch.

Pollo

I'm with you on the bars Pollo, slightly tweaked bars must be destroyed...I like th elevers set up just right as well...it puts my Zen on the piss if it's not all square.

I'll add to that perfect chain tension and good tyres...

Tyre pressure front and rear have to be just right - especially in soft desert sand. Too hard, and the rear will just sink down and dig you in.

Chain tension must be spot on - I hate it when the chain flaps around and grinds off the left hand side knobs on the rear tyre.

At the beginning of the ride the bike must be spotlessly clean - my clothes might smell of dead dogs, but the bike must be clean.

Call me picky, but for me it's getting out for a good few hours, or a track day, without breaking down & getting taken home by the AA, if that happens then I'm happy! :bounce:
