Just for the sake of noting progress, I installed a new water pump seal over 20 hrs ago, with a new bearing/seal o-ring set-up. The new part# seal seams to work better than ever! I also red loctited the bearing outer race to the cover. At 111 hrs on the '06, it shifts and runs better than new, hope i didn't just jinx it!?

:wav:

i have to admit .... had a tear in the eye after i finished reading the above .

i know how you feel , i was on a mission to stop mine leaking and did in the end .

it did start again though after a while . i will say that my weep hole issues were '' ongoing '' .

Well it is called a weep hole.
If nothin' ever came out of it then it'd be called .......a hole! :D

is considered ok for the bikes to just continually spit coolant out the weep hole. I put in the new bearing and seals from australia and mine hasn't spit any oil since but it won't stop with the coolant. I have had the water pump seal replaced twice at the dealership. But they charge $50 bucks to do the warranty job. What a great deal that is. *******s. Does anybody have a solution? This is a great bike but, I'm not content with the "it Just Leaks" answer. Thanks for any input

OrangeBerg has an alternate WP seal now too, you could pm him. They are a commonly available seal and should be available locally.

Coastie, you are funny guy! some truth to that! Cannon, this was the 3rd seal I installed and finally am content, even if it weeps again. take the advice of the members here, mighty fine chaps and very helpful. More technical expertise on this site than on an industry website I am memeber of( I am a diesel tech). Can't say enough nice things about the people here!!!! :p :p

Are you talking about the same weep hole as in the photo below?

The original WP seals are very delicate and if not installed properly will be damaged and also if a sealant is not applied to the outer sealing surface of the seal coolant can leak between the outer suface and the casing we have had them move in the casing as well.
If you have had the seal out a few times the sealing surface in the casing may have been scored and its leaking around outside of the seal ( apply sealant )

Go to a reputable bearing & seal shop and ask for an all rubber seal with the dimensions 10mm ID, 18mm OD , 9mm thick. this replaces the original WP seal.
In Australia the part number is TC12377 we use these as an upgrade for the problem.
We dont doubt that you installed our seal carrier to stop the oil leak correctly but if you hit the bearing in anyway installing the unit the bearing will fail please check that the balls in the bearing are all intact and not allowing shaft movement creating the coolant leak.
ORANGEBERG

In your opinion mr. Orangeberg is the seal ordered by dimensions far superior to the husaberg sourced seal? I assume so since you obviously know how you like to fix the bergs' fluid containment weakness. Is it custom made?
