Can anyone tell me roughly what water volume a 650 radiator holds? I'm building supermono and will probably have to source or have built a rad to suit, I may try a pair of KTM LC4 rads?
Any ideas

Just to name something: A tuner whose in-depth DR-Z build I've been reading swears by Fluidyne radiators. They're available for KTM's and at least some Husaberg models - there are some examples here: http://www.ktm-parts.com/mm5/merchant.m ... de=PPECRAD

Given equal size and weight, they are supposed to be stronger and flow more coolant (and thus give better cooling).

Thanks Anthon,
I've seen the fluidyne rads, impressive. The problem I have is getting a pair of rads big enough either side of the exhaust and inside the fairing, might have to angle them. Airflow shouldn't be a problem once rolling. I've even considered mounting a single rad under the seat unit, seen a VTX1800 rad used like this but they're pretty rare.

its just under 800ml filled to the brim, cooling fins and tubes cover 330x195mm

the center section doesn't get much air in the original bike because its mounted behind the frame and the wheel guard so you could probably get away with a bit smaller

FWIW when i was building my frame I worked out that the radiators from a crf450X are a bit bigger in cooling area
