hi all just rebuilding my 2008 450 with the help of taff . thanks mate left on my own putting the water pump pin in i dropped the pin and it dissappeard in to the water jacket and pin is made from ss steel so magnet would get it out any ideas ?
 
yikes, tip the engine upside down and shake it? :lol: are you sure its not magnetic? depending on what alloys are mixed stainless may or may not be magnetic............ take the head off and tip it over? maybe you can tilt the engine on its side and get the peice to the bottom of the water jacket where the lower radiator hose comes in? thats a tough one really, sounds like you have the same kind of dumb luck i do :lol:
 
dab of grease on a stick? or forget about it and cut a new one from a nail. it shouldn't rust too fast
