Hi to all,
Could someone share the dimensions of the water pump bearing, I am hoping to order the bearing prior to pulling the bike apart.

Thank you

Ray

found the dimensions

Ok I was able to locate the dimensions, for anyone else in need of bearing the dimensions are 32mm OD, 10mm ID and 12mm width you want an open bearing part number 6201/C3 I found an SKF brand for 4.99 with free shipping

The water pump bearing is proprietary to Husaberg. It has a seal attached to it on one side.

Perhaps you can reuse your seal or find something similar.

Year/Model: 2004,
Component: CLUTCH COVER
Item #: 63
Part Number: 0625062013
Description: BALL BEARING SPEC.B.B.SKF 6201
Price: $35.63

Yes it is attached. If I am not mistaken, Taffy may offer a replacement. Check his site.

yes, I have that bearing as an OEM and aftermarket part Ray. in stock. as I'm aware it is only used on the Husabergs.

cheers

Taffy

thank you

Taffy,
Thank you for replying and the auto decompression part I recently purchased from you has worked great! I will try to get on your site tonight.

Hi,

the bearing is a little special, but not proprietary to Husaberg. As far as I know it also could be found in laundry machines...

To avoid mixing water with oil, there is a shaft seal ring (see pic 1, on the water side), the seal on the bearing (see pic 1 on the oil side), and an additional O-Ring on the waterpump-shaft to provide a sealed surface between shaft and the inner ring of the bearing. So far that's it.
If you have problems with the weep hole, change all of them to be safe.

Make sure you push the bearing all the way in the cover. Don't worry, the bearing is a little more wide than the pocket. That's o.k.
If it's a tight fit, use a hot air fan to heat up the cover a little bit, or additional cooling spray for the bearing...

As an additional tweak I used an O-Ring with 0.2mm bigger diameter to get a tight fit between inner ring of the bearing and waterpump shaft.

Don't use any sealing silicone - it will find it's way into the oil system, clog the oil filter or tiny little holes (e.g. crank shaft...)!!!

The Bearing is: SKF ICOS D1B01-TN9/C3 (including seal)
Shaft seal ring: 10x18x4 BSL
O-Ring: 10.0 x 1.3 NBR 70 SH (original, 70° shore)
O-Ring I used: 10.0 x 1.5 NBR 70 SH (KTM order code: 0770010015)

Regards,
EDE

If in future the oem part is unavailable there are a number of options

From here

http://husaberg.org/mechanical/17998-bushmechanic-mongrel-628-trailbike-17.html

oem bearing and integrated seal measures 12.5mm deep bearing is 6201 12x32x10mm

there is a seal available via the internetzz that is 4mm deep leaving 8mm for the bearing

https://www.google.com.au/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=12x32x4+seal

and there is an 8mm deep bearing 620108 12x32x8mm

the one im using is a 6201 machined down to 6.6mm deep and the seal is a 12x32x7 but i sanded it down to 6mm wide.

in my 700 i use a slightly smaller bearing than the oem one inside a sleeve with a 5mm wide seal

or as mentioned already ORANGEBERG has a ready made kit for the job.
