water in oil aint cool

Were oh were has my water gone, oh there it is, mixed with the oil, mmmm lovely. i'm guessing the common fault is water pump seal but then why was it not coming out the weep hole? i've ordered up gaskets and new seal as well as the o ring on the cases, or does any one draw another conclusion.
mayonaise anyone?

undo your sidecover againand either the rubber 'O' ring is no longer fat enough or the sidecover gasket is half sat on it! get a sidecover gasket to go with that order and an 'O' ring as well to be certain.

Seems odd that the o ring would just go, i havent had the side cover off before either, at least you didnt suspect major engine trauma.

so to fit the valve kit etc you did it with the sidecover still in place? if you did have the cobver off then it is as i say - gasket catches the edge so you no loinger have a seal and water deposits in the sump.

a quick get out with the 'O' ring is to withdraw the 'O;' ring and put a paper gasket in the back of the groove. then replace the 'O' ring.

then it must be the headgasket if the sidecover never came off? a hose pipe clip leak? that's all i've got!
